LSR is an association that supports refugees in difficulty, both locally and in other regions. Based near Pézenas in the Hérault, with active affiliated groups in the Aude, it has members and supporters throughout the Languedoc and beyond.

We work independently and with local partners to provide emergency assistance to recently arrived refugee families through:

• providing food to families every 2 weeks;
• on-going assistance with accommodation costs;
• helping with access to medical care;
• providing transportation to doctors and official appointments as required;
• collecting and providing winter clothes and blankets for refugees here and further afield.

Refugees arriving in our region often have nothing. LSR exists because people choose to act.

Behind every statistic is a person — a family trying to rebuild, a parent trying to protect their children, someone starting again with almost nothing.
